ERSA Invitation to Take Part in Employability Day 2019 on 28 June
March 18, 2019

ERSA – the representative body for the employment support sector – are planning the fourth annual UK Employability Day taking place on Friday 28 June.
Employability Day is an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of employment support at the frontline. Thousands of charities, businesses and public bodies across the country will host events and promote their achievements on social media and to local press.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to highlight your work and ERSA would be delighted if you would join the celebrations. Here are a few examples of how to take part (although any ideas are very welcome):

  1. Host a visit from local stakeholders, such as MPs, councillors or employers, to show them what you do.
  2. Celebrate your achievements over the last year with a party for jobseekers and staff which you can promote online and share with local press.
  3. Help support the day on social media using the hashtag #EmpDay19.

April 17, 2018

ERSA is pleased to announce that the sector’s third UK Employability Day will take place on 29 June 2018.

Last year saw over 200 centres taking part, with activities including jobs fairs and stakeholder visits, conferences, report launches and employability day tea parties. Some organisations welcomed hundreds of visitors and many signed up more jobseekers as a result. Notable visitors to the frontline included Home Secretary Amber Rudd MP, the Scottish Minister for Employability and Training, numerous MPs and councillors, Mayors and over 20 government officials.

Activities generated lots of local media coverage (including broadcast) and #Empday17 trended all day with over 600 unique tweets, video blogs from MPs and members creating their own Snapchat filters.
