|G4S Employment Support Services (ESS) is a Prime Contractor delivering regional contracts supporting disadvantaged and marginalised groups in the UK. |
We currently deliver the Work Programme and five ESF contracts across England for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and have previously delivered ESF Families Support Programme, Community Work Placements and the Supervised Jobsearch pilot.
WLA WHP – Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS)
The programme has been developed by the West London Alliance (WLA). It builds on an initial DWP national Work and Health Programme (WHP) expansion design, co-designed with representatives of its member boroughs (Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow Hillingdon, and Hounslow), and taking account of the Oxford Economics report on ‘How might coronavirus affect the West London Economy’.
Purpose of Provision
The WLA WHP JETS programme will help people who have been unemployed and in receipt of benefits for at least 13 weeks, to find sustained work.
It will provide early support, responding to local priorities and complementing the wider labour market offer of support through a sector-based approach. It is being commissioned for the WLA (as part of devolution for London) with the following requirements:
– It must integrate with employment support and skills provision in WLA Borough Job Brokerages and support the development of a single front door approach;
– It must work with other employment and skills provision (including those funded by ESF), commissioned by WLA and wider commissioners;
– It must work with training and education providers (including West London’s FE colleges, boroughs’ ACL provision, and independent training providers), to help develop vocational skills courses needed for those of those affected by the pandemic.
The Provision will be delivered across the seven boroughs of West London:
Hammersmith & Fulham
If you would like the opportunity to work with G4S to deliver this programme, please email W2WBusinessDevelopment@uk.g4s.com, detailing the name and type of organisation, and the areas of the Boroughs where you would be interested in delivering.
